River Bottom Ramble

from High Plains Gospel (EP) by Dan Schwartz

"River Bottom Ramble" is my instrumental protest song. It was written about this amazing trail just minutes from my home that runs for an 18 mile stretch along the Minnesota River. It is a rugged, natural, meandering, ever changing single track biking/hiking trail that is in jeopardy of being paved over. That part makes no sense to me. I love it just as it is - hence the protest song. I have run, biked and rambled parts or the entire stretch countless times, but I love that I still can get lost in its beauty every time I am down there.

Please visit savetheriverbottoms.org for more info on why this area should be left in its natural state.
